FCLO

Some of us know that due to a few factors, there are children in country, and also coming home from Korea with MAJOR dental issues. Parents are having to spend thousands on dentistry in a desperate attempt to fix the problems.

The continued bottle feeding of poor quality soy based formula past two years old is the major problem. Bacteria from sugary formula is also a factor, but not the main one. Our children are not getting the proper nutrients. While teeth brushing has a role here, it is a very small role.

Dr. Weston A. Price discovered just how important nutrient dense food is for teeth and bone health. Please read from here :

Another theory I have is that these children are not able to develop the gut flora necessary to maximize nutrient absorption due to lacking probiotics and colostrum from breast milk. This cannot be helped, so feeding them the most nutrient dense food is of the greatest importance. I have the utmost respect for traditional Korean food. Its truly fantastic. The problem is, like here in America, much of the traditional foods are taking a back seat to convenient, processed, dead foods.

Teeth are not meant to rot at two years old, at 15 years, or even 30 years. Cultures who have maintained their traditional diets have very low rates of dental issues, in addition to very low instances modern disease, even with minimal brushing.

In addition to education, what can we do? I am collecting donations to send cases of this High Quality Fermented Cod Liver Oil / Grass Fed High Vitamin Butter Oil blend to ESWS to supplement our children’s diets.

If we buy 12 bottles, we get a price break from $49 ea. to $39 ea.. One bottle will last one child 3 months. Most cavities can be healed in 3-6 months.

Fermented Cod Liver Oil (FCLO) - Fermented cod liver oil is oil that is pressed from the fresh liver of wild cod, which is rich in vitamins D and A. Most cod liver oils on the market produce their oil by distilling it rather than fermenting it. Fermented cod liver oil comes from cod liver that is never heated and is carefully filtered to keep their vitamins in tact. Fermented cod liver oil tops the food chain with the highest levels of Vitamin D AND Vitamin A. Following closely behind for Vitamin A is liver; and for Vitamin D is high vitamin butter oil.

The primary benefit of fermented cod liver oil is the concentrated presence of naturally occurring fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, E and K2 that are scarce in modern diets.

Some of the many other nutrients found in fermented cod liver oil include: CoQ10 (also rich in heart tissue and some fish like sardines) and various quinones (known for anti-tumor, anti-micro bacterial, and anti-cardiovascular disease properties). There are potentially thousands of other unspecified nutrients within this concentrated superfood.

Another benefit is  its EPA/DHA content, though it contains whatever amount is naturally occurring, not concentrated/isolated. These fatty acids are so important to developing brains.

15% of FCLO will naturally be EPA
10% of FCLO will naturally be DHA

This is where the blend comes into play:

Research shows that butter oil and cod liver oil, taken together, provide complementary factors leading to proper essential fatty acid balance. High-vitamin butter oil contains arachidonic acid (AA), an omega-6 fatty acid, while cod liver oil is rich in eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), an omega-3. Moreover, the saturated fatty acids in the butter oil promote efficient utilization of the unsaturated fatty acids in the cod liver oil. Finally, butter oil contains a broad and deep range of important quinones including Vitamin K, E and CoQ enzymes while cod liver oil is rich in Vitamin A and D.

What all this has to do with dental health:

The Two Major Suspects of Tooth Decay:

1. Lack of Adequate Fat-Soluble Vitamins in the Diet- Fat-soluble vitamins: A, D, E, and K are found in fat. Dr. Price discovered that all the indigenous groups he studied had the highest immunity to tooth decay. Their diets consisted of organs and meat from land animals, fish, and shellfish…all containing generous amounts of fat-soluble vitamins.

2. Lack of Activator X in the Diet – Dr. Price discovered that Activator X, a hormone similar to vitamin D, is the missing nutrient in modern diets. Activator X is found in the grass-fed dairy of animals that are grazing on rapidly growing green grass (grass grown from May through September). Butter that has a deep yellow or orange color, has more Activator X in it is produced from grass-fed milk that is from cows that are grazing on rapidly growing grass.

The Missing Link in Our Diet:

The absence of fat-soluble vitamins is THE PRIMARY cause of tooth decay. You need Activator X (vitamin K2) and liberal amounts of vitamin A and D to properly reverse tooth decay. The simplest and most effective way to add fat-soluble vitamins to your diet is by adding in fermented cod liver oil and high vitamin butter oil (1).

When our bodies are low in these fat soluble nutrients, our organs rob minerals from our teeth and bones. The Vitamin K2 in FCLO act as a guide to calcium, without it calcium can end up in the arteries, instead of the bones and teeth. These nutrients are synergistic.

Healing cavities

There are many articles online about tooth decay being healed with nutrition. There is a burgeoning movement in whole body dentistry, and integrative dentistry. As well, as book written on healing cavity with proof, sources, and examples.

Here is one article: http://www.westonaprice.org/book-reviews/cure-tooth-decay-by-ramiel-nagel/

Here is a book: http://www.amazon.com/Cure-Tooth-Decay-Cavities-Nutrition/dp/1434810607/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407974349&sr=8-1&keywords=healing+cavities

I have read accounts from parents and dentists with before/after dental x rays showing healed teeth, and I know first hand what proper nutrition can do for someones health.

You can easily find these stories with some google magic.

Dose:

45 pounds and under: 1/2 tsp a day
55 pounds: 2/3 tsp a day
Children over 12 and adults: 3/4 to 1 tsp per day

There is a saying about only worrying about what is in your circle of influence. Some things, especially in this process, we cannot control. This is a way to bring the well being of these children into our circle of influence.

Please help me get these kids the proper nutrients they need to thrive.

Thanks, Harlan and Stephanie McCoy
