About 7 For Seats!

***$7 For Seats!!!***

**Please Note:  "We raised $4,050 through this site -which $3500 went toward the
sibling fee.  We simply deducted the remaining $550 from our plane ticket goal and created a new goal.  Unfortunatly, we had to recreate a new page from scratch to do this.
Thank you so much to all of you who gave/shared our link to our original '7 for seats!'

God allowed YOUR giving to pave the way for us to be faithful to what we were hearing and accept the refferal of the twins. We were only able to do this because of YOU!

There are no words...but please accecpt- THANK YOU!

And now...where were we...oh yes...the seats!

This Is Our Family

Turner Family recap in fast forward:

Fell in love

Had 2 kids

Wanted to do missions but God said, 'Adoption is the thing that I have planned for you now!'

We quivered and said, 'Yikes!!!  We've heard this thing can be expensive!'

A wise friend said,' Adoption is God's heart, he has all the resources in the world.  If you partner with his heart- don't you think he will provide?'

Hmmm....will we trust Him?

It was a step of faith and a journey that not only lead us to the sweetest girl in India...

but we came home with a passion too.

.  (And the testimony that YES...he does provide!)

Adoption and orphan care have become woven into our hearts.

So there you have it.

Our family will soon grow by TWO more as we prepare to welcome Twin 11 year old girls from Ethiopia into our family.

"Why embark on this crazy journey again...don't your 6, 7, and 9 year olds keep you busy enough?" you may ask.

See this picture?   Our daughter is in here...along with 20-something other orphans...who were all calling us mommy & daddy...hoping maybe that would work.

Only 2 of them left that day....the others had to wait for their turn to hopefully come...

So the answer to 'Why?'  is this,

Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls knows that we know, and holds us responsible to ACT"...Proverbs 24:12

one number...

163 Million

(the number of orphans in the world)

one reason...

God

(our adoptive father-he did it for us and it cost him even more)

one response...

ACTION

Our eyes are open.

We are held responsible to act.

And as Christians, we are commanded to care for the orphans.

Learn to do right; seek justice.

Defend the oppressed.

Take up the cause of the fatherless;

plead the case of the widow. Isaiah 1:17

*****Yes, adoption can be expenisve.  BUT, If I had a penney from every adoptive family who started the process not knowing where the money would come from and if I had a penney for every 'miracle story' they gave on how the money came in...I'd be able to buy our plane tickets Cash!  *****

But...I did't get those pennies :)  And we still need the plane tickets.

In July we travelled to Ethiopia and adopted our beautiful girls.

**  Their visa's needed to enter the USA will take about 2 months.  So near the end of September or October we will to return to Ethiopia to bring them home**

We need to raise around $5,000 for our 2 round trip flights and 2 one way tickets for the girls to come home!

**Enter the '$7 for Seats'**

We ask as many of our nearest and dearest family and friends as possible to donate $7 bucks.

They generously give $7 (or more) and then they help us do something we can’t do on our own---reach others by spreading the word.

Now, this part is KEY. The fundraiser is not nearly as effective if we skip this step. We have a limited circle of influence. Say 50 of you who are reading this donate $7. That equals $350. Awesome!!

But look what happens if those 50 people give $7 AND spread the word to 10 more people (people that we probably would never come into contact with) and THEY give $7---just like that, $3500 is raised!!

It sounds simple enough right?? And it is. As you see, when we all give a little, it adds up to a lot and it will make the world of difference for two young girls that wait across the world for their family.

So will you partner with us to our journey to bring our daughter's home??

  It's just, '$7 for Seats!'
